Sarah Mussi is an author and teacher. She has taught both in the UK and internationally in primary, secondary and sixth-form schools. In 2015 Sarah had two new books out: Bomb (May) already listed in the Guardian’s Best New Kids Books 2015 and shortlisted for the Hounslow Library Book Award, and Here Be Dragons, book one of The Snowdonia Chronicles (September) showcased in the People’s Book Prize.

Sarah gives workshops in schools, festivals and to writers’ groups. In 2014 she had two books published, both YA thrillers Breakdown, and Riot). Riot won the Lancashire Book of The Year Award 2015 and was longlisted for The Amazing Book Award.

Sarah’s YA thriller Siege was nominated for the CILIP Medal (2014), shortlisted for many regional awards and won the BBUKYA Award For Contemporary YA fiction. Sarah’s title, Angel Dust, was the lead title on the Hot Key Books launch list in August 2012. Her first novel, The Door Of No Return won the Glen Dimplex Children’s Book Award and was short listed for the Branford Boase Award. Her second novel The Last of the Warrior Kings inspired a London walk and is under negotiation for being optioned for film & TV.

Sarah’s next novel is called Room Empty and will be published in 2017 by Rock the Boat (Oneworld Publications).
