Katie Treggiden is a craft and design writer with almost 20 years' experience in the creative industries. For the past decade, she has been discovering and championing designer-makers by telling stories that challenge dominant narratives. She regularly contributes to publications such as the Guardian, Crafts Magazine, Elle Decoration, Design Milk and Monocle.
She has written four books, established the award-winning design blog confessions of a design geek and the independent print magazine Fiera – her latest book, Weaving: Contemporary Makers on the Loom, was published in September 2018 by Ludion.
She is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, a Trustee of the Leach Pottery and a volunteer for Shelterbox. Katie is a qualified marketeer and interior designer and is currently studying for an MSt in the History of Design at the University of Oxford.
