Stel Pavlou is a British author and screen writer born in Gillingham. He studied at the University of Liverpool and participated in an exchange programme with the University of Mississippi.

Stel’s first novel, Decipher, came out in 2001 and was published by Simon and Schuster. The book was longlisted for the W.H. Smith Best New Talent Award in 2002, and was also released in the USA by St Martin’s Press. 2001 was also the year of Stel’s first screen-writing credit for the short feature film 'The 51st State', which premiered at the Edinburgh International Film Festival.

Stel's forthcoming book is called Daniel Coldstar and will be published by HarperCollins in 2017.
