Lewis Hine was diagnosed with a brain tumour when he was just 17 months old. He has had 13 brain surgeries since and suffers from hydrocephalus and drug-resistant epilepsy. Even though his daily life is an extreme challenge, he works tirelessly to challenge how people view disability.  Lewis doesn't feel down about his problems, he feels lucky and his inspirational message has garnered international recognition.

Lewis has created an organisation called Friend Finder to help and connect kids who feel lonely and isolated through hospital stays and illness. He won BBC Radio 1 Teen Hero of the Year in 2016 for his work with Friend Finder and a CBBC documentary about Lewis and his work will air this October.

In March 2017 Lewis Hine became a global phenomenon when the video message he posted online for his 16th birthday about living life to the fullest went viral and has been viewed over 30 million times. His book LOOKING AT THE STARS was published by Bonnier in spring 2018.
