Kit Whitfield grew up in London, and went to Christ’s College, Cambridge, and has an MA in Creative Writing from the University of East Anglia. In addition to writing, she has trained as a chef and a masseur, as well as working as a website editor, quote hunter, toy shop assistant and publisher.
Her first novel, entitled Bareback in the UK and Benighted in the US was published by Random House in 2006. Kit’s short stories were first published in the Oxford and Cambridge May anthologies, and are now available online. Her novel In Great Waters was shortlisted for the World’s Best Fantasy Awards in 2010.
