Kate Ford is a food blogger, recipe developer and writer with a passion for really tasty vegetarian and vegan food.  Her blog The Veg Space has been featured in the ‘Top 10 Vegetarian and Vegan Food Blogs’ by The Guardian, Red and Vegetarian Living, and her recipes have appeared in Observer Food Monthly, Cook Vegetarian and Vegan Life Magazine.

Kate grew up on the island of Jersey, moving to the mainland to study Physics at Durham University, and now lives in Hertfordshire with a husband and toddler in tow. Having been vegetarian since the age of 7, her interest in cooking, baking and eating prompted her to start a blog as a hobby in 2011, and with a growing interest in photography and an encouraging numbers of visitors, the blog grew into a part-time job when it started receiving attention from brands keen to collaborate, and clients looking for regular vegetarian and vegan recipe development work.

Kate holds a Cordon Vert diploma in Vegetarian Cookery.  In 2009 she won the ‘Vegetarian Chef of the Future Competition’ run by the Vegetarian Society, and in 2011 was the creator of the ‘UK’s Tastiest Meat-Free Dish’, winning a competition from Linda McCartney Foods which culminated in her dish being added to their range.

Kate’s first book, VEGAN IN 15, was published by Short Books.
